Janet's Potato Pie

Ingredients

500g
Stewing Steak, in 2 cm dice

Onion, chopped
1.5 kg
Potato, peeled and diced to 2 cm

Carrot, peeled and diced
1
Stock cube, made to 500 ml of stock

For the pastry

75g
Butter
150g
Flour, sieved
1/2 tsp
table salt

Method

Add onions, meat and stock in a dish with a lid Put in oven on 160C, and cook for 1 hour

Add potatoes and carrot Add salt to taste, and cook for 2 hour until potatoes and meat are soft

Make pastry, and refrigerate for 20 min Roll out and add to pie

Cook for a further 15-20 min until pastry is cooked

Serve with peas and brown sauce

Total cooking time ~ 3 1/2 hours
